My favourite movie

Do you have favourite movie?

I have mine. It’s a movie directed by James Gunn. It is called “The Guardian of the Galaxy”. I have watched this movie several times. It is entertaining and never gets old. I love the concept used in this movie. It is an action movies plus comedy with the blend of country songs from the beginning to the end of the story. Much expected from the director, James Gunn himself because he is also a writer, producer and musician. This makes this movie a huge success with rating, 8.2/10.

What makes this movie more interesting was the strong personalities in each of the main character themselves.

Peter Quill a.k.a Star Lord

He is the only human (half) in this movie. There are thousands kind of aliens in this movie and Peter Quill human nature is the most outstanding of all. He helps even in difficult times (He saved Gamora even though he knows it will cost his life.) He is also quite a strategist which makes him escaped in every difficulty he faces. Well I know this personality is a cliché personality in protagonist but this is what makes this movie has a good rating. But from Peter’s characters/personalities, the director is actually trying to say that human is the best in every aspects compared to any living creature/aliens in the universe.

Gamora

She’s a lady that with the so-called woman personalities, loud, sarcastic, always wants to win but deep down she has a soft heart. As always woman voice is put secondary after man. But once a woman speaks everyone will listen. Gamora is more likely a second leader in the guardian team. This is because in every difficult situation which needs someone to start, Gamora will stand up and start everything. (She is the first one who stood up and agrees to help Star Lord in attacking the antagonist ship. Hold Star Lord hand to bear the destruction power of the stone.)

 Drax the Destroyer

One of the guardians. In my opinion he is tough, strong, and arrogant but a bit dumb yet he has a soft heart and appreciates his companions/comrades. From this character, as if the director is trying to say that no matter how bad a person is, there is always a good side of that person. But this also means the opposite. Drax is also an example that what past is passed and to live we must see and believe that in every circumstance there is always light that bright your tomorrow.

Groot

Groot is something from tree-species-human-like. I honestly do not know what to call him. But Groot has a character of naïve, soft and he is full of surprises which surprise me a lot. But this also makes me think about lots of conflicts and questions. How can someone with naïve and soft hearted character have the guts to stand up and kill and hurt people around?

Rocket

Rocket is a raccoon, well in their world the word "raccoon" does not exist. But Rocket is once human. Interesting about Rocket is he is genius in making and modifying things out of metal, he is small, but good in fighting and surprisingly he get sensitive and emotional when it comes to insulting his personalities. (He got angry when Drax called him "vermin". He even tried to kill Drax.)

Well I guess that is all for now. I only select few character and all are the guardians. Their differences in personalities completed each and one another flaw. This teach me that we need to appreciate ourselves more because nobody has the same talent as you are and remember, whenever we want something that we do not have, tell yourself that there is always someone wants what you have too.
