The most expensive fish in Malaysia

There is one of my friends who do not eat fish.

He is just allergic to it. After eating fish no matter how tiny he ate, his body begin to reject it and he will started to throw up, got stomach ache, and having fever. Well I am not going to talk about allergic but about fishes.

In Malaysia there are three types of fishes listed as the most expensive.

Empurau

Normally, Empurau fish will be sold at price like RM550 per kilogram. This kind of fish could only found in Sarawak. Not long ago, this fish is sold at RM2000 per kilogram in Kuching.

What makes this fish so expensive? This fish taste sweet, and delicate in texture and this is because this fish only eat “Engkabang Fruit”.

Jelawat

Jelawat also has sweet taste and only eat fruits but this fish is cheaper than Empurau. The price range is about RM300-RM350 per kilogram.

Semah

Semah came from the family of Tor Lebeobarbus. And this fish can only be found in Borneo rainforest. It also tastes sweet and sold at RM300 per kilogram.

So what do you think? I get the chance to catch this fish and I got it, I probably just eat it because it tastes sweet. Moreover, I love to eat fish!
